Housing Ombudsman Service logo

Since April 2024, the Housing Ombudsman's Complaint Handling Code set out that all landlords must have someone called a Member Responsible for Complaints (MRC). This person works at a senior level to make sure complaints are handled properly and that services improve for residents.

The Housing Ombudsman want to hear from you about:

  • whether you know about this role
  • if you think it's helping residents
  • how the MRC could work better with residents like you

This survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Your answers will help the Housing Ombudsman create better guidance for landlords.
